Bio

Dale Joseph is in his first season as the men's and women's cross country and track and field coach at the University of the Virgin Islands.

Joseph previously led the cross country and track and field program at UVI from 2007-2020, developing both teams to the highest level of competitiveness.

He has been a member of the Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation since 1994 and is a Virgin Islands National Junior Coach. He currently holds World Athletics (formally International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) Level I, II, and III certifications.

In 2017, Joseph coached Buccaneer student-athletes Randy Antoine (200m, 400m) and Kohun Eugene (100m) to the finals of the LAI conference championships. He also coached St. Thomas native Stephanie Jerson in the 2009 CARIFTA Games in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia where she ran a 57.44 in the 400m, earning her a scholarship to Division I Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Joseph is a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High and was one of the top distance runners in the Virgin Islands from 1977-81. He was the track and field coach at Charlotte Amalie from 1998-2009 and again for the past two seasons. He also served as the head coach of the track and field program at Ivanna Eudora Kean High from 2009-2022.
