
UVI Announces 2024 Cross Country Schedule
ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS, September 3, 2024 – The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) athletics department has released the 2024 cross country schedule, which includes three meets in the state of Florida and a trip to Alabama to participate in the Historically Black College and University's Athletic Conference's (HBCUAC) Cross Country Championships.
UVI's season kicks off on September 21 at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Cross Country Classic in Daytona Beach, FL. The Buccaneers competed are returning to the ERAU meet for the second consecutive season.
Following their season opener, the Buccaneer teams will take a two-week break before heading to South Florida for the Ave Maria Invitational hosted by Ave Maria University. The regular season will conclude with the Buccaneers participating in their biggest meet yet, the Florida State University's Cross-Country Invite at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
The 2024 edition of the HBCUAC Cross Country championships will return to Decatur, Alabama on October 18 as the Buccaneers will set their sights on capturing the conference title after both teams finished in seventh place during the 2023-2024 campaign.
