UVI Athletics To Livestream All Home Games Via Blueframe
ST. THOMAS, V.I. The University of the Virgin Islands Athletics has announced a streaming partnership with BlueFrame Technology. Through the partnership, unveiled Sunday afternoon, all home basketball games at UVI will be live-streamed.
All UVI home broadcasts can be live-streamed on desktop, on mobile, and also on internet-connected television devices and apps anywhere in the world. The partnership equips UVI with its own dedicated portal/web page where fans can easily access live and on-demand broadcasts. The UVI-branded portal can be found on https://uviathletics.com/live. Alternatively, UVI broadcasts can be found on https://team1sports.com/uvibucs/ and on Team1Sports, a mobile app for Android and iOS.
"We're overjoyed with the partnership with BlueFrame and the live streaming of our games," said UVI's Athletic Director Dr. Jerel Drew. "This provides a new and improved digital element for the live streaming capabilities of all Buccaneer sports. This will also provide our Buccaneer family the opportunity to keep up with live competitions."
Additionally, live broadcasts will be accessible on Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku streaming devices. Certain UVI broadcasts will also be available on YouTube Live and Facebook Live on UVI Athletic social media accounts.
"BlueFrame is thrilled to be working with UVI Athletics to power the Bucs Sports Network," said Mark Krug, Director of Partnerships for BlueFrame Technology. "Our full-service video streaming solution will distribute UVI broadcasts to all modern applications across web, mobile, and TV streaming devices. Our goal is to make sure Bucs fans across the globe stay connected and engaged with UVI events while also shining a greater spotlight on UVI teams and student-athletes."
The deal with BlueFrame will lead to an improved viewing experience for Buccaneers as features such as live in-game graphics, instant replay, and commercials can be integrated into the broadcast.
The debut of the partnership starts November 3, the first day of the inaugural UVI HBCU Basketball Classic. All 12 competitions of the three-day tournament, including the six non-UVI games, will be live-streamed.
