Bucs Announce Men's and Women's Basketball Schedules

ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The University of the Virgin Islands has released both the men's and women's basketball schedules for the 2023-24 season.
Both teams will host exhibition games on Friday, Nov. 10 before beginning regular season play.
The men's team will host VI Elite Pros in an exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 10 and will open the regular season at St. Thomas University in Miami on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.
The women's team will host an exhibition game on Nov. 10 against an opponent to be announced and will open regular season play with back-to-back games at Florida Memorial on Nov. 15-16 with both games beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Champion Christian College comes to the Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center for doubleheaders against the Bucs on Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.
Both the women's and men's teams will play their first-ever games in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) at Southern University at New Orleans on Dec. 9 and then take on Dillard University on Dec. 11.
The first GCAC home games will be played on Jan. 4 against Fisk in a doubleheader with the women playing at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.
The women's team will play a 20-game regular-season schedule with 10 home games while the men's team has a 24-game regular-season slate highlighted by 14 home games.
The Bucs will look to win their first GCAC titles at the 2024 tournament begins on Feb. 28.
