
Men's Basketball Loses to Lions

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Jalil Langston and Naythan Shaw-Clarke combined for 50 points and Eliyah Stevens registered a double-double in a 95-81 loss at Florida Memorial.
The Lions, who led 47-32 at halftime improve to 5-4 on the season while UVI drops to 0-10.
Langston led all scorers with a game-high 26 points while Shaw-Clarke finished with 24 points and a team-high five assists.
Stevens had 17 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
UVI shot 43.9 percent (29-66) from the field and made 3 of 14 from 3-point range while the Lions were 35 of 69 (50.7 percent) and connected on 9 of 30 from behind the arc.
Florida Memorial built a 20-9 lead with 13:41 left in the first half and the Lions held the 47-32 halftime lead.
The Lions started the second half on a 9-0 to extend the lead to 56-32 with 17:42 left in the game.
